An odd little trick

That innocuous little app, notepad, is not immune to problems.

Here's how to do it:

1. Open up Notepad
   
   
2. Type in this sentence exactly (without quotes): "this app can break"
   
   
   
   
3. Save the file to your hard drive.
   
   
4. Close Notepad
   
   
5. Open the saved file by double clicking it.

Most people will see empty squares, but if you have the 'SimSun" font installed, you'll see Chinese (CJK) characters.




Turns out it works with any sequence of 4, 3, 3, and 5 lower-case alpha characters [a-z] separated by a space,

"xxxx xxx xxx xxxxx"

also works.
